Q: Who is Cory Devenport?
A: A lifer. The kind of skater who never stopped. Six or seven years ago he started saving snapped decks and asking what else they could be.
Q: What’s the deal with the stripes?
A: Each deck is seven thin plies of maple, dyed different colors. Stack enough of them and carve through — that’s the rainbow.
Q: Awards?
A: Multiple ribbons at the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar. The Viking ship took gold.
